Fidan Ruhulla Valizade is a doctoral student at Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management and a senior researcher in museology at the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Her doctoral dissertation focuses on the cultural aspects of Islamic (religious, halal) tourism in Azerbaijan. Her real-life experiences visiting Muslim countries form the foundation of her research.
She has presented her research at international conferences on topics such as Cultural Rapprochement Between Nations Through Islamic Culture, The Origin and Importance of Islamic (Halal) and Religious Tourism, The Role of Cultural Heritage in Tourism Development, Involvement of Religious Monuments in Tourism Routes, The Importance of Cultural Heritage in Mass Media and Leisure Activities, The Journey of Love—Arba’een, The Significance of Ramadan in the Development of Islamic Culture and Religious Tourism, Religious Tourism in the Context of Global Media, and A Study on the ‘What and Why’ Questions That Drive People to Religious and Halal Tourism: Religious Tourism Sites in Azerbaijan.
She is actively involved in promoting Azerbaijani culture, history, and tourism through her work in museology. Additionally, she supports initiatives that encourage the active participation of Muslim women in various sectors of society and contributes to efforts aimed at expanding opportunities in tourism and hospitality.
